We created a digital cyberpunk opera - hey wait... what’s that?

Let me explain!

First, it’s an opera, meaning, a musical work with a concept, a story, we’ve got 5 singers and 12 scenes, so you could also think of it as a conceptual album.

It’s got an electronic vibe to it, there is mangled orchestra, lots of synthesizers and otherworldly sounds and... the stars are the singers of course!

But there is more to it!

The music is NOT to be shared via Spotify, we programmed an app. This app is basically a music player, so you will find all the standard controls in there. But additionally, there are live captions, texts and descriptions and an image for each scene, alongside liner notes and credits... so all the meta stuff, you had on Vinyl or CD sleeves, but now it’s all there, interactive, in an app.

We programmed this in the game engine Unity and there is another amazing feature coming with it!

Underneath the opera, there is another music album, a second layer, you can always switch between the two versions. The second version is an ambient album, so there are no voices and no hard cuts, almost no percussions, you can enjoy this music for relaxing, learning, playing games or whatever you like. It is independent from the opera.
